The progress on the 5 man BA Tac squad has just been embarrassingly slow. I just finished the second shoulder pads. Need to retouch the areas where they get super glued, get the standard to a level I like and then I can varnish them. I know I have been working on this single 5 man squad for like 2 months now, and believe, I am ashamed. Work is a flimsy excuse.
So, in that light, I have a different one. I am starting up a new Pathfinder game. Met with the group the other day to have our (pretty much yearly) state of the group address. Got everyone's opinion on how they wanted game to go, what they wanted to play etc. and then strong armed them into letting me run Pathfinder. Pathfinder is usually Matt's bag but I got the GM bug, slow season is coming, and poor Matty Matt rarely gets to play (something like two games in 10 years absurdity) The last few days has been spent putting a couple of ideas together, reviewing some of the rules and trying to figure out what I want to do with the game. Next is character creation and props! I love props, they make the game for me. Especially the map soaked in tea to make the paper look like parchment or whatever, classic.
Also, the other day I picked up a dremel set that has a few nylon brushes in it. Those things are awesome at taking paint off of simple greened models. A toothbrush is fine too but with the dremel you don't get the finger rawness! What I am trying to say is that I made a small amount of progress on giving emo-wing a try. I think I want to put the army together, get some color on it and then just play it until I get decent with it. I usually try a new list once, if it gets stomped then I make a new one without every giving it a chance. Gonna try to stick with the same list, or a similar one for a bit and practice with it. We'll see how it goes.
Ok, I know, anemic post but I have a few whiskies in me and it is time to hit the hay so I can ascend to the gates of heaven tonight.
Oh yeah, here's a shooting star for you
